Abstract:
Provided is an input device capable of detecting an operation direction of an operation body of the input device by using a touch position detection function of a general-purpose touch panel. An input device (1) is disposed on a front surface of a touch panel. The touch panel has a plurality of fixed electrodes and detects a touch position on the touch panel on the basis of changes in capacitance value of the fixed electrodes at a plurality of detection points set on the plurality of fixed electrodes. The input device (1) comprises an operation body (2), a moving electrode (7), and holders (71, 73). The operation body (2) can be tilted by an operation of an operator. The moving electrode (7) faces the touch panel and can be tilted by the tilting of the operation body 2. The holders (71, 73) hold the operation body (2) and the moving electrode (7) so as to allow tilting thereof. The tilt direction of the moving electrode (7) is detected on the basis of changes in capacitance value at the plurality of detection points on the touch panel.
