Abstract:
An input device is provided with an input part (40) and a palm rest (37). The input part (40) is provided with a control surface (43) for receiving a control input from a fingertip. The palm rest (37) is disposed closer to the operator than the control surface (43) is so that the operator can rest his/her palm thereon and is configured so that the tangent plane of the palm resting surface (37A) is positioned on the top side of the control surface (43). In the input device, the portion of the control surface (43) closer to the palm rest (37) is tilted so as to approach the palm resting surface (37A) of the palm rest (37) as distance to the palm rest (37) decreases, in comparison to the portion away from the palm rest (37).
