Abstract:
An input device has a drive body having a sensor unit, and a power generation unit having a piezoelectric element. The drive body slides in a first direction according to an operation by an operator. The drive body also forms part or all of a mechanism for causing the piezoelectric element to vibrate. Therefore, the piezoelectric element vibrates due to the sliding of the drive body in the first direction, whereby the power generation unit generates power. The sensor unit, using the power generated by the power generation unit, detects the operation of the operator and outputs a detection signal. This makes it possible for the input device to cause the piezoelectric element to vibrate with a simple structure and generate power.
