Abstract:
An insect resistant apparatus for a sash drainage hole is disclosed. The disclosed insect resistant apparatus for a sash drainage hole is configured to cover, from the outside, a drainage hole that is formed in a bottom part of the window frame, and is installed by being attached to an outer surface of the window frame. The insect resistant apparatus for a sash drainage hole comprises: a plate-shaped main body plate having a through-hole that is connected to the drainage hole; and an opening and closing door that selectively opens and closes the through-hole by being installed using a top part of the main body plate and a hinge which is capable of rotation. The opening and closing door, if not affected by an external force, blocks the through-hole by becoming vertical due to its own weight and by overlapping the outer surface of the main body plate so as to adjoin the same. If the window frame is filled with rainwater, the rainwater pushes the opening and closing door outwards and opens the through-hole, thereby discharging the rainwater outside. If an outside wind blows towards the opening and closing door, the opening and closing door pressurises the main body plate and blocks the through-hole, thereby preventing the outside wind from blowing inside.
