Abstract:
Provided are: an insert molding container (1) that makes it possible to prevent a surface coating layer (6), which has been formed on the outer surface of a primary container (2), from separating due to heat and pressure from molten material (17) during secondary molding injection, and that makes it possible to further improve external appearance; and a production method thereof. An insert molding container (1) according to the present invention comprises: a primary container (2) which is formed so as to have a bottomed cylinder shape and which is used as an insert material; a surface coating layer (6) which is formed by a surface treatment and which covers the outer surface of the primary container (2); a surface protection material (7) which is provided on the surface coating layer (6) and protects the surface coating layer (6); and a secondary container (5) which, from the outer side of the primary container (2) having the surface coating layer (6) and the surface protection material (7) formed on the outer surface thereof, covers said primary container (2) in an integral manner, and which is formed by injecting the molten material (17) toward the surface protection material (7).
