Abstract:

An integrated process is described for producing olefins and intermediate chemicals for the production of ammonia and urea, using an FCC reactor, a regenerator, a steam reforming unit, an air separation unit, an ammonia production unit and an urea production unit. This process allows, at the same time, minimising CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, and utilising heavy fractions with reduced added value (atmospheric residue) for the production of light olefins, besides maximising the utilisation of all streams concerned, thus achieving higher energy efficiency.
