Abstract:
The invention relates to an integrated production process of oxo alcohols including 2-ethylhexanol, n-butanol and iso-butanol from natural gas. Production of oxo alcohols requires pure hydrogen for hydrogenation of aldehydes, synthesis gas for hydroformylation of olefin and enough steam for heat exchangers. Obviously, the supply of these items from the outside of the plant can be problematic in terms of their purchase price and the required technical specifications. This invention discloses an integrated process for production of oxo alcohols from natural gas feed, so that it is possible to supply the above items without dependence on the outside. In addition, the process has unique features that causes some of issues in petrochemical units such as high fixed investment, high production cost and adverse environmental effects to be reduced as much as possible.
