The present invention relates to a remote meter reading connection error detection system which can detect a connection error of an electricity meter by using a water bill, a gas bill, an electricity bill, and the like that have been overcharged to a consumer. The remote meter reading connection error detection system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a water bill calculation module for calculating a water bill by reading a water use amount from a water meter provided to a consumer; a gas bill calculation module for calculating a gas bill by reading a gas use amount from a gas meter provided to the consumer; an electricity bill calculation module for calculating an electricity bill by reading an electricity use amount from an electricity meter provided to the consumer; an electricity use index calculation module for calculating an electricity use index by comparing the calculated electricity bill with at least one of the calculated water bill or gas bill; and a connection error determination module for determining whether the electricity use amount of the consumer corresponds to a normal use range by using the calculated electricity use index and a standard electricity use index.
