Abstract:
At present, when seeking an agent, a layperson enters the words "patent lawyer", "patent law association", "law firm", "patent law firm", or the like into the input window of a portal site or looks up information registered in a phonebook. Alternatively, the person may select an agent with whom he/she has worked before or an agent introduced by an acquaintance. In such cases, because each agent respectively has a different field of practice and a different field of expertise, laypersons worry about the reliability of agents. According to the present invention, there are the advantages of providing a method and system which allow users to search for intellectual property agents and which provide more efficient information on intellectual property agents. An intellectual property agent searching method according to the present invention follows the steps of: receiving a search query; searching for intellectual property agent information conforming with the received search query from prior art documents; and providing the retreived intellectual property agent information.
