Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and apparatus, which are used for introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into a radio access network (RAN). The method comprises: a radio intelligent controller (RIC) sending configuration information of one or more AI tasks to a base station, wherein the configuration information of each AI task is used for indicating one or more of the following content of the AI task: a task identifier (ID), a task type, task content, a task execution subject, and a task state, and the execution subject of the AI task may be the base station or a terminal.
