Abstract:
An intelligent window is configured to solve the problems of a poor switching effect and being difficult to operate due to a complex structure in an existing intelligent window. The intelligent window comprises: two substrates which each are electrically connected to a voltage source, a switchable electric field being created between the two substrates; and a dimming layer which is filled between the two substrates by means of a liquid crystal material, the liquid crystal material being formed by mixing a chiral molecule, a dichroic dye, and a salt ion in a nematic liquid crystal, the weight percentage concentration of the chiral molecule in the liquid crystal material being determined according to a limitation formula (I), wherein C is the weight percentage concentration, n is the birefringence index of the liquid crystal material, p is the chiral force of the chiral molecule, D is the thickness of the dimming layer, m1 is a multi-axis absorption boundary constant, and m2 is a normally transparent boundary constant.
