Abstract:
An interactive robot (100) can communicate with a user by means of conversation, and is provided with: an upper unit (10); a lower unit (50); and a joint (30) that couples the upper unit and the lower unit and that is freely foldable so as to raise/lower the upper unit with respect to the lower unit. The upper unit (10) is provided with: a projection device (11) that projects a video; and an imaging device (13) that photographs an image. The lower unit is provided with: a driving device that drives wheels for moving the robot; and a control device that controls the motion of the robot. The robot can take a first state where the upper unit is mounted in contact with the lower unit, and the projection device, the imaging device, and the joint are housed in the upper and lower units, and a second state where the upper unit is raised away from the lower unit, and at least some of the projection device, the imaging device, and the joint are exposed.
