Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an interdental cleaning tool which exhibits excellent interdental insertability, and is capable of sufficiently ensuring cleaning properties when saliva is present. [Solution] An interdental cleaning tool (1) equipped with a handle substrate (11) comprising a synthetic resin, and a cleaning part (2) obtained by sheathing the long and thin shaft-shaped core (12) of the handle substrate (11) in a cleaning-part body (21) comprising an elastomer, the cleaning-part body (21) having a covering section (21a) for covering the core (12) and a plurality of cleaning projections (21b) for projecting outward from the covering section (21a). Furthermore, the cleaning-part body (21) is made from a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer having a shore (A) hardness of A25-A55, and given that the coefficient of dynamic friction when water is not interposed in the cleaning part (2A) is μd, and the coefficient of dynamic friction when water is interposed therein is μw, then the relational expression 0.9×μd≤μw between both coefficients of dynamic friction is satisfied.
