Abstract:
The present invention proposes an Internet of Things system and a method for management thereof, which facilitate management of a device and a gateway in an Internet of Things environment through switching into a high-speed communication interface at the time of provisioning and wireless firmware upgrade. The proposed Internet of Things system comprises: a gateway installed in an Internet of Things environment; and a field terminal for performing inspection and information configuration for the gateway, wherein the gateway and the field terminal perform communication through a first communication interface to switch a mode to a factory mode, switch the first communication interface to a second communication interface having a faster transmission rate than that of the first communication interface, and then perform firmware upgrade and provisioning for the gateway through the second communication interface.
