Abstract:
An image decoding method carried out by a decoding device, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: acquiring a most probable mode (MPM) index of a current block; configuring an MPM list on the basis of neighboring blocks of the current block; deriving an intra prediction mode of the current block on the basis of the MPM list and the MPM index; and generating a predicted block of the current block on the basis of the intra prediction mode, wherein the MPM list is configured according to a specific order, the specific order being derived on the basis of intra prediction modes of two specific neighboring blocks among the neighboring blocks.
