Abstract:
[Problem] As an intracellular retentive fluorescent compound which enables the detection of only a cell having a target cell surface protein expressed thereon in a specific manner and with high sensitivity, an intracellular retentive fluorescent compound represented by general formula (I) is disclosed. In general formula (I), A represents a monovalent hydrophilic group which can be cleaved through an enzymatic reaction; R1, R3 or R5 represents an alkyl group having one or two fluorine atoms at a benzyl position; any one of R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 contains a hydrophobic fluorescent group; and adjacent two groups among R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 may share an atom or an atomic group with each other to form a ring, and may form a fluorescent group in conjunction with a benzene ring.
