Abstract:
An intrinsic process signal-based online spatter detection method for resistance spot welding comprises: acquiring, in real-time and during a welding process, an intrinsic process signal and a current signal output by sensors (6, 7) provided at two electrode caps (1) and establishing a relationship graph that varies with time, performing spatter determination according to the relationship graph to obtain a spatter count and individual feature quantities, and combining the count and the quantities to obtain an accumulated feature quantity during a spatter process; and calculating, according to the accumulated feature quantity and a shape feature quantity of the electrode caps, a spatter metal volume, so as to obtain a prediction value of a spatter metal amount. The method performs online prediction of the spatter metal amount according to the intrinsic process signal of resistance spot welding, thereby achieving online quantitative estimation of the spatter level of spot welding, overcoming the drawback of dependency on manual detection in the prior art, and improving detection efficiency and accuracy. The method takes into considersation the influence of different electrode cap shapes, thereby providing high applicability, achieving a superior linear correlation between prediction values and actual test results of spatter metal amounts, and realizing high detection accuracy. In addition, the method achieves a fast computational speed, has low hardware system requirements, and provides applicability in various resistance spot welding application scenarios.
