Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel inventory management system which provides excellent convenience such that it is possible to ascertain the inventory status of an object to be managed. This inventory management system is characterized by comprising a shelf 10, a marker 11, an image acquisition means 12, a storage means, an analysis means, and an alert means. The shelf 10 is a shelf on which an object 20 to be managed is placed. The marker 11 is disposed in a portion of the shelf 10 which is obstructed from the image acquisition means 12 by the placed object 20 to be managed. The image acquisition means 12 acquires an image of the marker 11. The storage means updates and stores the on-time inventory information of the object 20 to be managed on the shelf 10 on the basis of the sales information of the object 20 to be managed. The analysis means analyzes the on-time inventory information in the storage means when the image acquisition means 12 acquires the image of the marker 11. The alert means outputs an alert according to the analysis means.
