Abstract:
This inverter device is provided with: a rectifier 2 that converts a power supply voltage supplied from an alternating current power supply 1 into a direct current voltage; a second conversion circuit that converts the direct current voltage supplied from the rectifier 2 into an alternating current voltage; and a control circuit that controls the second conversion circuit. The second conversion circuit has a plurality of pairs of switching circuits, each having two switching elements connected in series. The plurality of pairs of switching circuits are configured by being connected in parallel, and current detection circuits are provided to the switching elements, respectively. An open failure of the switching elements is detected using detection results obtained from the current detection circuits, and an operation current is limited or stopped in accordance with the number of failed switching elements.
