Abstract:

An ion trap chip and system, applicable to the field of quantum computation. The ion trap chip comprises: multiple first ion traps (10) for storing operation ions, wherein two adjacent first ion traps (10) form an ion trap group (30); and multiple second ion traps (20), wherein each second ion trap (20) corresponds to an ion trap group (30), is used to perform a quantum operation of the operation ions (101) stored in the corresponding ion trap group (30), and is located between the two first ion traps (10) in the corresponding ion trap group (30). The operation ions (101) stored in the first ion trap (10) in the ion trap group (30) are conveyed to the corresponding second ion trap (20) along a straight line. A region for storing ions and a region for performing a quantum operation are separated from each other in the ion trap chip, and the region for storing the ions is on the same straight line as the corresponding region for performing the quantum operation, such that ions are conveyed without turning, thereby greatly improving the efficiency of quantum computation.
