Abstract:
Provided is an ionomer characterized in that: a copolymer (P) contains structural units (A) derived from ethylene and/or an α-olefin having 3-20 carbon atoms and structural units (B) derived from a monomer having a carboxyl group and/or a dicarboxylic acid anhydride group as essential constituent units and in which the proportion of structural units (B) is 1-20 mol%, and in the copolymer (P), at least some carboxyl groups and/or dicarboxylic acid anhydride groups are converted through neutralization into metal-containing carboxylates containing ions of at least one type of metal selected from among group 2 of the periodic table; (a) the phase angle δ is 50-75° when the absolute value G* of the complex modulus of elasticity measured using a rotational rheometer is 0.1 MPa; and (b) the degree of neutralization is 1-90 mol%. This ionomer achieves an excellent balance between fluidity, impact resistance, and adhesion to highly polar dissimilar materials.
