Abstract:
An IOT device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a communication unit for wirelessly communicating with a base station; and a control unit for determining whether a preset IOT communication category change condition is satisfied, transmitting, to the base station, information about a specific IOT communication category corresponding to the satisfied change condition when the change condition is satisfied, and controlling the communication unit so that wireless communication is connected with the base station according to the specific IOT communication category if a category change request to the specific IOT communication category is received from the base station as a response to the information about the specific IOT communication category.
