Abstract:
The iris authentication device is equipped with: a plate-like door which has a first surface and a second surface aligned along a plate-like plane, a first window formed in the first surface, and a second window formed in the second surface; an imaging unit which captures an image, and which is housed between the first surface and the second surface of the door with the optical axis of an optical system for the imaging extending in a direction along the plate-like plane; an optical path bending part which is disposed between the first surface and the second surface and within the imaging range of the imaging unit, and which bends the optical path for the imaging toward the first window or toward the second window, thereby causing an image outside of the first window or the second window to be captured by the imaging unit; and an authentication processing part which executes iris authentication on the basis of the image captured by the imaging unit.
