An apparatus for dispensing items from a pack of items wherein the pack of items has parameters associated therewith such as pack size (56), an item dimension (58) and an item (60). The apparatus includes an item dispenser (20), a cash acceptor (24), input and output devices (44) and a controller (22). The controller (22) has an item load table (50) for storing data corresponding to the parameters associated with the pack of items.
