Abstract:
Provided are: a jig and a test piece that enable assessment of a delayed fracture in a sheared end surface more accurately and easily; and a method for assessing a delayed fracture using same. A jig (1) for assessing a delayed fracture is for applying a tensile load on a test piece (10) having pin holes (10A, 10B) bored on both sides thereof in the longitudinal direction, and is installed in a hydrogen incoming environment together with the test piece (10) that is bound in the load applied state. This jig comprises: a first pin (2) to be inserted in one of the pin holes (10A); a second pin (3) to be inserted in the other pin hole (10B); a frame component (5) provided with first insertion holes (5Aa, 5Bb) to be inserted with the opposing ends of the first pin (2); a slide component (6) provided with second insertion holes (6Aa, 6Bb) to be inserted with the opposing ends of the second pin (3); and a tension adjustment mechanism for coupling the slide component (6) to the frame component (5) so as to be able to move back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the test piece (10). The tension adjustment mechanism is a feed screw mechanism which linearly moves in association with rotation of a screw (7).
