Abstract:
A purpose of the joint device 10 is to provide a joint device capable of stretching from a bent state when a load is applied, the joint device 10 having a linking unit 3 which links a first member 1 and a second member 2 in a manner allowing relative movement, and having an expansion/contraction device 12 which is connected across the first member 1 and the second member 2 in a manner allowing power transmission and which can modify an angle formed by the first member 1 and the second member 2 around the linking member 3 by expanding and contracting. The expansion/contraction device 12 has a rotary unit 121 which generates rotary power, and a conversion unit 122 which is connected to the rotating unit 121 in a manner allowing power transmission and converts the rotary power generated by the rotary unit 121 into translational motion along a direction of expansion/contraction.
