Abstract:
Provided is a joint mechanism that can be locked in a stretched-out state or midway through being stretched out, yet in which complication and increase in weight of the device are curbed. The joint mechanism is provided with: a crural frame unit 15a and a femoral frame unit 13a coupled free to turn relative to each other; a one-way clutch 37 connected to the crural frame unit 15a and the femoral frame unit 13a for locking, and allowing only unidirectionally, turning between the crural frame unit 15a and the femoral frame unit 13a; and an interrupting part 21 for interrupting the state of connection between the one-way clutch 37 and the femoral frame unit 13a. The interrupting part 21 disconnects the one-way clutch 37 and the crural frame unit 15a from each other, thereby unlocking turning between the crural frame unit 15a and the femoral frame unit 13a so as to allow turning between the crural frame unit 15a and the femoral frame unit 13a in either direction.
