Abstract:
A journal bearing according to the present invention is provided with a carrier ring, a plurality of bearing pads provided on an internal peripheral side of a lower half region of the carrier ring and configured so as to support a rotor shaft from below, and a guide metal disposed in an upper half region of the carrier ring and provided in the center in the axial direction of the rotor shaft so as to cover a top-side region of the external peripheral face of the rotor shaft.
