Abstract:
The present invention provides a journal foil air bearing (100a) having: a bearing housing (10) having a cavity (80) in which a rotor (5) is disposed; and a top foil (6) and a bump foil (4), which are provided between the rotor (5) and an inner surface of the cavity (80) in the cavity (80) of the bearing housing (10), wherein a damping sheet (8), which is a foil having less stiffness than those of the top foil (6) and the bump foil (4), is disposed between the top foil (6) and the bump foil (4).
