Abstract:
Provided are a key generation method and apparatus, and a terminal device and a network device. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving a radio resource control (RRC) recovery message sent by a master node (MN), wherein the RRC recovery message carries first secondary key counter (SK-Counter) information and/or secondary cell group configuration information; and the terminal device determining target SK-Counter information on the basis of the RRC recovery message, and calculating a key of a secondary cell group by using the target SK-Counter information.
