Abstract:
A key protection method and apparatus, which relate to the technical field of security of communication devices. The method comprises: a device management system detecting whether a router device has a hardware processing chip for storing a key of the router device; if it is detected that the router device has a hardware processing chip for storing a key of the router device, the device management system using a pre-stored configuration value to generate the key of the router device; and the device management system sending the key of the router device to the hardware processing chip for storage.
