Abstract:
Keyboard for blind persons ABSTRACT A composite key comprises: - an external push button (1) on which there is an upper surface (16) that can be pressed with a finger and in which there is an opening (15); - an internal push button (3) that slides inside the external push button (1) and itself comprising a protruding pin (11); - a spring-release mechanism allowing the protruding pin (11) to pass from a first stable position, in which it is retracted and does not protrude from the surface (16), to a second stable position in which the pin protrudes through the opening (15); according to the invention the opening and the protruding pin are placed in an eccentric position compared with the upper surface (16) in order to facilitate the reading of a Braille character which is written using a matrix composed of several composite keys. In this way it is possible to manufacture keyboards to teach Braille writing.
