Description:
KIT FOR TEMPORARY TATTOOS

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a kit for temporary tattoos.

Background Art

The need is known to be particularly felt in many sectors of industrial and commercial businesses to renew the products and always look for new ones in order to better distinguish the same from those of the competition.

This need is particularly felt in the sector of recreational products for children entertainment consisting of kits for temporary tattoos.

In the ambit of this specification with "temporary tattoo" is meant any body decoration produced on the skin, in the present case without needles causing incisions and/or body changes.

The kits of known type comprise a backing sheet made of a printable and water- permeable material, at least a tattoo printed on one side of the backing sheet itself and a protection sheet for the protection of the tattoo before using the kit. These tattoos depict various subjects: animals, symbols, logos and characters from cartoons.

In particular, the known types of tattoos are transferable onto the child's skin, resting on the latter the side bearing the tattoo and dampening the other side, with a cloth or a sponge.

These tattoos however have some drawbacks among which the fact must be considered that they have predefined colors; in fact, once transferred onto the child's skin they cannot be customized, resulting static and repetitive since they are equal to one another in the many shapes present on the market.

Moreover, such tattoos to be transferred onto the child's skin need water, or a prolonged contact with a wet cloth, greatly limiting the applicability of such tattoos that, in the absence of a "wetting" medium, cannot be transferred in any way.

In addition, the need is strongly felt, to date, to have products for recreational entertainment in which the child-game interaction is not static, but is constantly evolving with the needs and creativity of the child.

The kits of known type are also certainly susceptible of further improvements aimed at obtaining original products and new shapes, which have innovative features intended to raise the aesthetic perception of the product and to be more appealing to customers.

Description of the Invention

The main aim of the present invention is to provide a kit for temporary tattoos that allows decorating the users' skin also dry, i.e. in the absence of a "wetting" medium such as a damp cloth, or a sponge.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a kit for temporary tattoos in which the child-tattoo interaction is dynamic and allows the children to personalize their own tattoo depending on their tastes and latest fashions.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a kit for temporary tattoos which allows to overcome the mentioned drawbacks of the prior art within the ambit of a simple, rational, easy, effective to use and affordable solution.

The above mentioned objects are achieved by the present kit for temporary tattoos having the characteristics of claim 1.

Brief Description of the Drawings

Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become better evident from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of a kit for temporary tattoos, illustrated by way of an indicative, but non-limiting, example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a schematic view of the kit according to the invention;

Figures 2 to 6 illustrate, in a sequence of axonometric views, the operation of the kit according to the invention.

Embodiments of the Invention

With particular reference to such illustrations, a kit for temporary tattoos is globally indicated with reference number 1.

The kit 1 comprises at least a backing sheet 2 made of a polymeric material and at least a layer of adhesive material 3 printed on the backing sheet 2, according to a predetermined pattern 4.

Advantageously, the backing sheet 2 is made of printable polyester processed at least in part with a releasing substance.

In other words, processing with a releasing substance leads to the creation of a film interposed between the backing sheet 2 and the layer of adhesive material 3 and is able to facilitate the release of the latter, avoiding to damage the predetermined pattern 4.

The layer of adhesive material 3, e.g. cosmetic glue, is transferable dry onto a portion of the skin 5 of a user, that is, a child, by pressing the backing sheet 2 in contact with the skin 5 of the user.

In addition, the layer of adhesive material 3 comprises a colored pigment able to make the pattern 4 distinguishable from the skin 5 of the user.

In other words, the layer of adhesive material 3 is colored, that is, may have any pigmentation intended to increase the visibility with respect to the child's skin. In this regard, it is useful to point out that with "visibility" is meant the contrast between the pigmentation of the layer of adhesive material 3 and the child's complexion; in fact, it is easy to understand that in the case of the layer of adhesive material 3 being transparent, or with a light pigmentation, the recognition of the transfer on the skin 5 would be difficult and little immediate. With reference to the particular embodiment shown in Figure 1, the kit 1 comprises a plurality of layers of adhesive material 3 printed on the backing sheet 2, according to a plurality of predetermined patterns 4.

The aforementioned patterns 4 may represent different subjects: animals, symbols, logos, characters from cartoons and more.

In detail, the layer of adhesive material 3 has a variable thickness depending on the shape of the predetermined pattern 4.

Furthermore, the kit 1 comprises a protection sheet 6 that, in packaging configuration, is able to adhere to the backing sheet 2 to cover the layer of adhesive material 3 and, in configuration of normal use, is removed from the backing sheet 2; this means that the kit 1 is distributed to the public by presenting the layer of adhesive material 3 covered and protected by the protection sheet 6.

It is easy to understand how the aforementioned protection sheet 6 prevents dust and dirt from depositing on the layer of adhesive material 3, leading to the reduction of the adhesive power of the same.

Conveniently, the protection sheet 6 is made of a siliconized paper material. The siliconized materials, in fact, have peculiar water-repellent and non-stick properties which allow its quick release from the backing sheet 2 and from the layer of adhesive material 3.

Furthermore, the kit 1 comprises decorative powder 7, 8 applicable on the layer of adhesive material 3, once the same is transferred onto the skin 5 of the child. As can be seen from the illustrations, the decorative powder 7, 8 is retained by the layer of adhesive material 3 to define a temporary tattoo 9 reproducing the predetermined pattern 4.

It is noticed that the temporary tattoo 9, obtained by means of the present invention, is washable with water. In other words, the aforementioned temporary tattoo 9 allows decorating one or more portions of the skin 5 of the child, depending on the fantasy and the curiosity of same, but at the same time removing such temporary tattoo 9 by means of a simple washing with water. Advantageously, the kit 1 comprises a brush element 10 which, as visible in Figures 3 and 5, is able to sprinkle the decorative powder 7, 8 on the layer of adhesive material 3 and to remove the residues of the decorative powder itself which are not retained by the layer of adhesive material 3.

In detail, the decorative powder 7, 8 comprises a first powdery substance 7 contained in a first collection vessel 11 and having a grain size between 0.6 mm and 1.2 mm.

As represented in the illustrations, the first powdery substance 7 is composed of glittery microspheres which are able to give three dimensionality to the temporary tattoo 9.

Furthermore, the decorative powder 7, 8 comprises a second powdery substance 8 contained in a second collection vessel 12 and having a grain size between 0.1 mm and 0.6 mm.

With reference to the particular embodiment shown in the illustrations, the second powdery substance 8 is composed of luminescent fragments of different pigmentation and capable of reflecting light.

In the light of the different grain size presented by said powdery substances 7, 8 and of the variable thickness of the layer of adhesive material 3, it is easy to appreciate how the glittery microspheres are securely retained by the portions having greater thickness.

To this is added that the use of both powdery substances 7, 8 allows obtaining a temporary tattoo 9 with bright, vivid colors and three-dimensional effect.

The operation of the present invention is as follows.

The child chooses a predetermined pattern 4 and cuts it out (Figure 1), then removes the protection sheet 6 and places the layer of adhesive material 3 on a portion of the skin 5, e.g. the back of a hand 13 (Figure 2).

At this point, by means of a slight pressure on the backing sheet 2 and the gradual lifting of the latter, the layer of adhesive material 3 is released onto the skin 5 of the child.

The child then decorates the predetermined pattern 4, covering it with the powdery substances 7, 8 which are then distributed on the layer of adhesive material 3, by means of the brush element 10.

The child covers the layer of adhesive material 3 with the first powdery substance 7 and subsequently removes the residues not retained of the latter, by means of the brush element 10 (Figures 3 and 4). In the present case, the aforementioned first powdery substance 7 is retained by the portions of the layer of adhesive material 3 having greater thickness.

Finally, the child ends decorating the predetermined pattern 4, covering it with the second powdery substance 8, and removes the residues not retained by the latter by means of the brush element 10 (Figures 5 and 6).

The second powdery substance 8 covers the remaining free portions, not occupied by the first powdery substance 7; this allows getting a customizable temporary tattoo 9 with a three-dimensional effect.

It has in practice been found how the described invention achieves the intended objects.

In particular the fact is underlined that the particular expedient to provide for a backing sheet processed with a releasing substance allows decorating the users' skin also dry, i.e. without a "wetting" medium such as a damp cloth, or a sponge.

In addition, the fact of providing powdery substances for the decoration of the predetermined pattern allows devising a kit for temporary tattoos wherein the child-tattoo interaction is dynamic and allows the children to customize their tattoo according to their tastes and latest fashions.
