Abstract:
Knitted fabric which is excellent in terms of elongation properties, dimensional stability, and conformability to the skin and which can be sufficiently inhibited from getting out of shape even when worn repeatedly. The knitted fabric is prevented from developing a barre defect or a run and has high color fastness and excellent strength retentivity. The knitted fabric has been knitted using, as the only yarn, a knitting yarn comprising elastic fibers. The knitting yarn has a fineness of preferably 11 dtex or more. The knitted fabric has dimensional changes, as measured by a testing method in accordance with the method G (method with domestic electric washing machine) as provided for in 8.39 (dimensional change) of JIS L 1096 (2010) (methods for testing woven fabric and knitted fabric), in the wale direction (warp direction) and the course direction (weft direction) of preferably -2% to +2% each. The stress at 200% elongation is preferably 100-2,000 cN. In the case of dyeing, it is preferred to use a cationic dye to dye the knitted fabric at a temperature of 30-120ºC.
