Abstract:
In order to determine the authenticity of a subject article to which a label has been attached, this system, which verifies whether an article is the same article, is equipped with a label creation device that creates a label which is attached to an article, and an information device, which acquires information verifying whether the article is the same article from the content of the label. The label creation device captures an image of the article, generates code information that includes first feature information indicating features of the article and first identification information associated with the article, and creates a label on which the code information has been printed. The information device captures an image of the article and the code information, extracts the first feature information and the first identification information from the code information, analyzes the features of the article and generates second feature information, and acquires second identification information for assessing the first identification information. An assessment is made regarding whether the first feature information and the second feature information match, and an assessment is made regarding whether the first identification information and the second identification information match.
