Abstract:
A laboratory animal breeding cage 1, which has a rectangular shape in plan view and has an opening at the top, includes a bottom 2 and a side wall 3. The cage 1 is formed of a transparent part 5 made of a transparent thermoplastic resin and an opaque part 6 made of an opaque resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and a filler. At least corner sections 7 of an upper surface 2a of the bottom 2 are formed of the opaque part 6, and at least the upper half of the side wall 3 is formed of the transparent part 5. The transparent part 5 and the opaque part 6 are bonded to each other. This provides a laboratory animal breeding cage that is excellent in visibility and enables easy removal of deposited excrement.
