Abstract:
A lactic acid derivative having an aminoethyl group at an end; and a process for producing the derivative. The derivative is a compound represented by the formula (1) or a salt thereof: (1) wherein R represents hydrogen or an amino-protecting group; X represents hydrogen or a hydroxy-protecting group; Y represents -O- or -S-; and Z represents an aliphatic group, aryl, heterocyclic group, -CO-, or a combination thereof, provided that these groups may have a substituent.
