Abstract:
Provided are a lamiaceae family mentha genus plant-derived extract and a method for producing the same, the extract having "p-cymene and terpinolene", the contents of which are maintained at low levels which do not affect flavor, being fresh and having aroma rich in refreshing feeling. The present invention relates to a lamiaceae family mentha genus plant-derived extract, which contains L-menthol or L-carvone as a main aroma component, wherein the total amount of p-cymene and terpinolene is 500 ppm or less, and the total amount of p-cymene and terpinolene is 0.0005 parts by weight or less with respect to 1 part by weight of the main aroma component.
