Abstract:
A laminate molded ceramic core is provided which has strength, disintegration properties and meltability, and which has improved surface roughness. This laminate molded ceramic core, used as the core when producing a metal casting, is configured from a center part, which is laminate molded fired body of a prescribed ceramic powder, a first layer, which covers at least part of the center part, and a second layer, which is formed on the outer surface of the first layer. In the ceramic core, defining Ag as the amount of projection particles projected in a brittleness test and Bμm as the erosion depth, when using the average erosion rate, which is the average value of the erosion rate calculated by the expression erosion rate (μm/g) = B/A, the average erosion rate of the first layer is lower than that of the center part and the average erosion rate of the second layer is higher than that of the first layer. Further, the surface roughness Ra of the second layer is less than or equal to 10μm.
