Abstract:
Provided is a laminated structure in which an optical functional layer is provided on a touch sensor and with which it is possible to suppress a deterioration in the optical characteristics of reflected light. Also provided are a method of manufacturing a laminated structure and an image display device. The laminated structure 20 is provided with a touch sensor 30 and an optical functional layer 40 provided on the touch sensor 30, wherein the touch sensor 30 is provided with a base material 31 and a transparent electrode layer 32 provided on the base material 31, and the optical functional layer 40 comprises a phase difference layer which imparts a phase difference to transmitted light, and a linear polarizing layer 43 provided on the phase difference layer. The optical functional layer 40 is disposed in such a way that the surface of the optical functional layer 40 that is closer to the phase difference layer opposes the touch sensor 30. In the optical functional layer 40, a ratio RR between a retardation Re2 at 450 nm and a retardation Re1 at 590 nm is less than 0.763, and the slow axis of the base material 31 is the direction along the slow axis of the optical functional layer 40.
