Abstract:
A lane-maintaining support device 1 is provided with: a first auxiliary part for assisting vehicle steering with hydraulic pressure; a second auxiliary part for assisting the vehicle steering with a motor; a riding-on detection unit 81 for detecting, from a captured image in which the forward area in the traveling direction of the vehicle is captured, that the vehicle has ridden on a division line of a traffic lane; and a steering resistance instruction unit 82 for, if the riding-on detection unit 81 detects that the vehicle has ridden on the division line, causing the second auxiliary part to output a force in the direction for returning the vehicle to the inside of the division line and for applying the force to a steering shaft, while maintaining the steering assistance by the first auxiliary part.
