Abstract:
A laser device 1A is provided with: a semiconductor laser element 5; a waveform calculation unit 3 which calculates input waveform data Da; a driver circuit 4 which supplies, to the semiconductor laser element 5, a drive current Id having a temporal waveform corresponding to the input waveform data Da; an optical amplifier 7 which amplifies laser light La output from the semiconductor laser element 5; and a light waveform detection unit 10 which detects the waveform of the laser light Lb after amplification that is output from the optical amplifier 7. The waveform calculation unit 3 compares the waveform of the laser light Lb after amplification detected by the light waveform detection unit 10 and a target waveform, adjusts the temporal waveform of the input waveform data Da, and brings the waveform of the laser light Lb after amplification closer to the target waveform. The present invention thereby realizes a laser device and a laser waveform control method that enable a reduction in the device size.
