Abstract:
A laser radar device having provided therein a modulation unit (4) that: applies a frequency (fofs-fmove), being a Doppler shift frequency (fmove) corresponding to the travel speed of a moving body deducted from a preset offset frequency (fofs), to a frequency (ν) for a transmission seed light oscillated by a reference light source (2); pulse-modulates the transmission seed light having a frequency (ν + fofs - fmove); and outputs pulse light. An optical heterodyne receiver (8) optically multiplexes backscattered light, received by an optical antenna (7) and having a frequency (ν + fofs + fdop), and local oscillation light having a frequency (ν) and finds a beat signal representing the frequency difference (fofs + fdop) between the backscattered light and the local oscillation light.
