The present utility model discloses a lateral conduction component for a key switch, comprising a PCB and multiple lateral conduction structures buckled on the PCB, where the lateral conduction structure comprises a housing, a guide core arranged on the housing, a movable piece arranged in the housing, and a static piece arranged in the housing. The vertical movement of the guide core pushes the movable piece to control the contact and separation between the movable piece and the static piece. The movable piece comprises a movable piece support arm bent twice towards the lateral outer side. The static piece comprises a static piece support arm that is bent twice towards the lateral outer side. The movable piece support arm is provided with a first bent portion of the movable piece that is bent towards the lateral outer side, and the first bent portion of the movable piece penetrates out of the housing and is electrically connected to the PCB. The static piece support arm is provided with a first bending portion of the static piece that is bent towards the lateral outer side, and the first bending portion of the static piece penetrates out of the housing and is electrically connected to the PCB. The present utility model can be conducted to an external circuit from a side edge, thereby reducing the overall height and achieving the ultra-thinness of a product.
