Abstract:
A lateral transfer device, an air transport apparatus, and an automatic material handling system, which are applied to the technical field of automatic control. The lateral transfer device comprises: a goods-taking fixed mechanism (200-8) fixedly connected under a traveling base plate (6) of an air transport vehicle; and a horizontal adjustment mechanism, which is mounted on a lower surface of the goods-taking fixed mechanism (200-8), wherein the horizontal adjustment mechanism comprises a synchronous adjustment mechanism and a sliding mechanism; and the synchronous adjustment mechanism is arranged on a side face of the sliding mechanism, and is used for adjusting, to a predetermined horizontal position, the sliding mechanism relative to the traveling base plate (6) in a first direction in a sliding manner, the first direction being a horizontal direction perpendicular to the side face, and the predetermined horizontal position being an aerial position above a target object to be handled. By means of the horizontal adjustment mechanism, components in the transport vehicle can be quickly and accurately adjusted to a spatial position directly above the target object to be handled, thereby improving the production efficiency of a product, and better satisfying factory requirements.
