Abstract:
The present invention discloses a layered lithium-manganese-rich positive electrode material with olivine structure LiMPO4 surface modification and manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises: using a co-precipitation and high temperature sintering to manufacture a pure phase layered lithium-manganese-rich positive electrode material; and using a sol-gel process to apply a uniform coating of olivine structure LiMPO4 on the surface of a layered lithium-manganese-rich composite electrode material. The invention applies a surface modification of an olivine structure LiMPO4 to a layered lithium-manganese-rich positive electrode material to effectively improve a cycling stability of the material and suppress a voltage drop of the material during a cycling process. The invention provides a simple, low cost, and environmentally friendly manufacturing method applicable for large scale industrial production.
