Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a layered polyester resin covered metal plate demonstrating all of the following abilities at high levels in addition to providing satisfactory openability when opening a can: suppression of cracking of a film near a rivet portion provided on a can lid (machinability); suppression of detachment of a resin subsequent to retort processing after content has been loaded (adhesiveness); and suppression of corrosion of a metal base material after passage of time (corrosion resistance). [Solution] This layered polyester resin covered metal plate includes: a metal base material; a lower layer formed on at least one surface of the metal base material and comprising a polyester resin (A) modified with 2 to 30% by mole of a first copolymerization component; and an upper layer formed over the lower layer, containing a polyester resin (B) and a flexible component (C) immiscible in the polyester resin (B), the flexible component (C) content being 2 to 50% by mass when the total of the polyester resin (B) and the flexible component (C) is 100% by mass.
