Abstract:
[Solution] A lead acid battery provided with a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate. The negative electrode plate is provided with a negative electrode current collector, and a negative electrode electrode material containing a carbon material. The carbon material includes a first carbon material having a particle size of not less than 32 μm and a second carbon material having a particle size of less than 32 μm. The ratio R2/R1 of a powder resistance R2 of the second carbon material to a powder resistance R1 of the first carbon material is not less than 15 and not more than 155. The negative electrode current collector comprises a Pb alloy including more than 0.06 mass% and not more than 0.15 mass% of Ca and not less than 0.10 mass% and not more than 0.80 mass% of Sn.
