Abstract:
The present invention increases the mechanical quality coefficient (Qm) of a lead-free piezoelectric porcelain composition. This lead-free piezoelectric porcelain composition includes a main phase that includes niobium (Nb)/alkaline tantalate (Ta) perovskite oxide and a subphase that includes a spinel compound including titanium (Ti). The lead-free piezoelectric porcelain composition contains manganese (Mn). The Ti content ratio x is greater than 0 mol% but no greater than 4 mol%, and the Ti content ratio x and the Mn content ratio y satisfy the following relational expression (1). Expression (1): x2/y ≤ 20.0
