Abstract:
This lead storage battery comprises: a housing including a battery case with one end open, and a lid that seals the opening of the battery case; and an electrode plate group including, in the battery case, a plurality of positive electrode plates and a plurality of negative electrode plates arranged in an alternating manner with a separator therebetween. Each positive electrode plate includes a first foot part that protrudes toward the bottom surface of the battery case. Each negative electrode plate includes a second foot part that protrudes toward the bottom surface of the battery case. The first foot parts and the second foot parts are disposed at different positions when viewed from the arrangement direction of the electrode plate group. When viewed from a direction perpendicular to the bottom surface of the battery case, ribs are formed on the bottom surface. The ribs: extend from an edge of a specific region sandwiched between a row consisting of a plurality of the first foot parts and a row consisting of a plurality of the second foot parts protruding from the electrode plate group; and also divide at least a portion of the specific region into a plurality of sections.
